GMI Hires Joseph Baldini as New VP of IT

GMI hired Joseph Baldini as the VP of IT. Baldini is an establish IT veteran with 15 years of senior-level experience, having implemented innovative data center consolidation strategies at several companies that resulted in a 50-percent reduction in infrastructure and $750,000 in annual savings. His consolidation strategy was even featured in Storage Networking Online as a success story for driving down costs while improving performance and reliability. Baldini comes from Muze, a successful startup in the online digital media field, where he was vice president of engineering.
“The VP of IT position is a key role at GMI as we offer numerous ASP-based services. Achieving optimum up-time is crucial for our business, and we won’t accept anything less than 99.99 percent,” explains Mike Brochu, GMI’s CEO. “I had the privilege of previously working with Joe at Muze and am extremely pleased he decided to join our team.”
