Harry Potter won’t Survive, Says Survey Findings Powered by GMI
20 July 2007Through GMI’s global panel, GlobalTestMarket, a survey was conducted to see what a little over 500 Harry Potter readers thought would happen in the final book of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be released tonight at midnight. Surprisingly, or perhaps not, only one third of respondents think that Harry Potter will die of old age, while a massive 63% think he will fall before the end of the novel. While two percent think Harry will die in an unlikely accident involving a broom and a bludger, nine percent feel he will be killed by Lord Voldemort and 52% think he will sacrifice himself so that Voldemort can be killed. The spoilers are out now, but readers will learn for sure this weekend.
The survey also covered other interesting aspects of Deathly Hallows, including readers’ thoughts on whether Dumbledore is really dead, on the true intentions of Severus Snape (is he really evil?), and whether Harry, and J.K. Rowling, will return for an eighth book. You can read the full results at this URL: http://www.gmi-mr.com/gmipoll/release.php?p=20070717
