- Nearly 90 percent of Italians agree that climate change has caused their local weather to change to the extent that the seasons are not arriving at the same time of year any more.
- More than 42 percent express a willingness to implement a personal carbon off-setting scheme.
- One third of Italians believe that a lack of investment in renewable energy is the biggest threat to the world’s climate.
- Eighty-five percent believe the Italian Government should make it easier to purchase renewable electricity. More than 96 percent agree that all electricity sold should contain a minimum of 25 percent of power generated from renewable energy sources.
