GMI off to the Races - 2007 Vancouver Sun Run

GMI is proud to announce their corporate participation in the 23rd Annual Vancouver Sun Run. The Sun Run, held in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, is set for Sunday, April 15th and supports the advancement of adolescent literacy throughout British Columbia. Last year’s event saw a record 50,746 participants and this year’s turnout is expected to rival that number.
This year GMI is supporting this local event with a team of over twenty runners from both Seattle and Vancouver. GMI team members will be meeting Saturday in Vancouver to prepare for, what should be, an exciting weekend.
Seattle team member Lee Adams, Internet Marketing Assistant and avid runner, is excited to participate in his first GMI Team Sun Run. “I love the fact that GMI encourages its employees to develop passions outside work. I would have never done the Sun Run without GMI’s sponsorship,” Adams noted.
Teams compete against one another for the lowest position score. As each team member passes the finish line they are given a number representing their relative finish, based on time. The positions of the first ten finishers for each team are added and then submitted for comparison. Prizes include a trip for two to Las Vegas.
